| So I offically do not usa xanga anymore so most of you apparently don't either, but i had to login to message a friend on the mission field so I figured I might as well make a post. Debbie and I are doing great! We are moving back to MO this year..probably October..to do Project Africa full time...very exciting, but man, its going to be hard to leave friends down here...very, very hard. :( If you want to check up with us we mail out newsletters ever other month so send us your mailing address and will add you! www.PAMissions.com you can get our contact info there! | | |
| So I feel like I am learning Xanga all over again! It took me like 5 minutes to figure out how to post a new blog! Pretty bad. Anyways, how are all you Xangainites doing? The past three weeks have been extremely busy! We just completed missions’ week here at Christ for the Nations two weeks ago and I would have to say it was a huge success! This is the second one I did since I have been on staff and it’s basically like doing a 4 day missions conference with 500 people attending. Our speakers were great and we did 20 minutes Q & A with them, which I asked the questions so it was fun. The second day we ran out of questions about 10 minutes to early, but everything ended up smoothly. For part of the decorations we build a life-size bamboo hut right on the stage! It was pretty awesome, but extremely messes! June is almost here and I can not wait! This will be my 6th trip to Africa, but the first as a married man. God flung open the doors of Heaven and the finances came in so easily for us this year. We still need to raise a little more, but nothing to be concerned about. We have a total of 7 going this summer, Deb and I and three girls from CA, TX and AR and two guys from OK and AL. We are also sending out newsletters every other month for Project Africa so if you would like to receive them send your mailing address to projectafrica@gmail.com On a final note Deb and I are really needing a four door car so if you have one you would like to give us just let us now! ;) j/k Be Blessed! | | |
| Two days in a row, I know, it’s a miracle! But this one is going to be very short! If you want to be receive our newsletter we are getting ready to start sending out let us know along with your address and email address! If you don’t want to post it on here you can email it to me at projectafrica@gmail.com and feel free to check out our new site as well www.PAMissions.com especially you Joan Hooven! | | |
| Yep, I know it’s been a while since I have been on here, but it’s an exciting time of the year so I just had to post how good God has been. Next month Deb and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary! Yeah! It has been such an amazing year. My B-day is coming up and my wife has been blessing me so much…how did I get a girl like her? We got a new couch over the weekend and I love it! Its huge and makes our apartment look to small, but its so comfortable! Plus we paid about ¼ of the full price. Dave Ramsey would be proud of us! ;) Next summer is going to be amazingly awesome! If everything works out we will be going to Spain, Morocco, Tanzania, South Africa and Swaziland! No, I am not kidding. Spain and Morocco are for sure. CFNI asked me to lead a summer outreach there so I will be getting paid to do it! Praise God! The first week we will be there for the running of the bulls and then we will travel to southern Spain for a little while then to Morocco for about a week. After that we want to send the team back to the States and Deb and I want go down to Tanzania for a few days kind as an exploratory trip. We really have a heart for west Tanzania because it is extremely rural and with hardly any ministries working there. That would all take place in July. In June, we are going to do our regular Project Africa trip to South Africa and Swaziland. If you haven’t seen our new website for Project Africa check it out. www.PAMissions.com We have also resigned working at Grace Fellowship as youth pastors. We will still be there until mid December though. We feel God leading us into a season to prepare to move back to MO so we are starting to cut strings here. We are hoping to move back to Mo towards the end next summer or early fall, but in all reality who knows, we could be here another year or two. Well, that’s a little update, but we hope you all are blessed and we are you to keep us in your prayers! | | |
| Summer is over and students are back here at CFNI, yeah! I have 40 students in my World Missions class on Wednesdays! That is almost triple from last semester! Our new website for Project Africa is up, but there are some things we need to add and change. www.PAMissions.com Also, be praying for Deb and me as we seek the Lord’s timing to move back to MO. It looks like it might be sooner than we thought, but we want to be in His perfect well. | | |
